Does the apple store accept personal checks for iPhone purchase?

I can understand car dealerships and landlords not takin it but apple not wanting to take it and some people not being able to buy something from them was just plain stupid (even though most people just found a way around it with gift cards)

I am a landlord and CASH IS KING!!!!

Checks are only accepted at places where there's a long checkout line filled with people who are in a rush.

So.....Wal-Mart?

The American spelling of cheque always confounds me, it's so nonsensical.

Seems like the easiest and sometimes ONLY way to buy an iphone from an Apple store is via the online system. And, you need a credit card for that.

Personally, we write maybe 3-5 checks a year.
