Thinking about finally getting an Apple Watch, but I'm curious if the Apple Watch is constantly emitting a Bluetooth/wifi signal? If I turn Bluetooth off on my iPhone and wear my watch all day (for fitness) and sync with my iPhone later at night, does it still attempt to connect to an iPhone even when Bluetooth is off or no iPhone is present? Is there a way to turn off Bluetooth/wifi on the Apple Watch irtself?

Are you concerned about Bluetooth being on draining the iPhone battery? Keep in mind you'd in theory use the iPhone less (from not checking it as much especially with notifications) so it's somewhat balanced out by that in term of battery saving.
