Does the ATV 4K Support Multiple Remotes?

I was hoping to add the remote from my 4th gen ATV so that I could use which ever one was closer to me. However, it doesn’t look like this is possible. Has anyone successfully paired two Apple TV remotes?

i don't think you can have more than 1 siri remote at a time.

The older IR remotes also work, so you could use that as a second or third remote.

also if your TV supports HDMI-CEC, the arrow, enter, and back keys on your television remote should control the aTV.

And now with iOS 11 the aTV remote is also built in to Control Center.
You just need to add it to CC first.
