Does the bottom panel of your 17" (integrated battery models) flex under pressure?

Just came back from the store with my friend who still can't decide on a 15 or 17 inch machine. I noticed that the bottom panel of both display model 17s kinda popped in and out a little bit under pressure just right of center and halfway between the front and back of the machine.

Is this common or are the display models just beat?

Seconded. And mine makes an irritating creaking noise as well. Not sure if the 13" MBPs do it, but it seems common among the larger models.

mine doe it too, especially over the hard drive, there is a bit of room there as you can fit a 12.5mm drive in there.

Interesting. Never really thought about it, so just played around with my mid '09 17". If I press hard enough I can make it flex a little, but nothing that would concern me. It's pretty solid, and build quality issues really bug me.
