Does the budget iMac make apple seem greedy lately ?

I agree that it's a poor value, but Apple is no more greedy than most publicly traded corporations.

 

Apple, like every other publicly-held company, has a legal duty to it's stockholders to earn as much as possible. If Tim Cook decided to be a good guy and lower profits just for the sake of being "nice", he and the entire board of directors would get sued.

You can sling insults about greed all you want, but if you understood the way business works, it would make sense.

 

"Apple is super rich and they can afford to lower the price of some things..." that makes absolutely no sense. So every "rich" business should give things away just because they're rich? How do you think they got rich in the first place...? How do you think they continue to make new products?

Funny, didn't that just happen actually with the iPhone profit margin? It drops slightly, and despite everything else they did that was good and how much they sold, "expert analysts" crucified them and told everyone to sell Apple stock because the iPhone bubble had burst.

Business are there to make money. Apple saw another market to get in to make a profit, and they did it. This new iMac will sell just fine.
