When at all possible I just have to use a mouse, all I own are Razer gaming mice which connect via Bluetooth to my M4 MacBook Pro in Bluetooth mode. I don't download or use any Razer software on my MBP.

Is this ok ?

Whatever works best for you is what I suggest that you do.

As others who have replied to this thread have already observed, why do you feel the need to ask permission to use a product, especially a product that works well for you when you use it?

My opinion might be that it’s the idiotic move of the decade. Or maybe the best decision you could make.

Why would either opinion be relevant to you though? 🤔

In seriousness, if it works well for you and it's comfortable and the connection is reliable, then use it. I've had hit-or-miss with Bluetooth mice so I prefer the Kensington which have the dedicated wireless dongle. But if it's working for you that's all that matters.

I don't think people here have a preference one way or another about the Razer mouse. It's one of the better quality brands, that's for sure.

My one gripe with my m2 air was how it behaved on Bluetooth with my mice as well. If I used the usb dongle to connect them by wifi, they worked perfectly.

Hoping my m5 with the updated Bluetooth behaves better

I would say who cares, just use whatever is most suitable for the task and doesn't give you RSI issues.

Sure if it works for you. So to be slightly helpful; Some Razer mice have onboard memory so you can store settings from Razer's SW on a PC. Some don't, so be mindful of that. I've used Razer Mice both wired & wireless with Mac's with no issue.

Only thing is it's better to adjust the DPI for the Mac to get the best out the mouse. While Razer's SW is getting better it's still too heavy just to set up a mouse, but the HW is solid and decently ergonomic. Have a couple of DeathAdder's and a Basilisk, with one of the DeathAdder's dedicated to my MBP.
