Does the free Davinci Resolve use Apple M1 video h/a codecs?

Davinci Resolve was updated to run natively on Apple Silicon.

Does anyone know if the free version use the Apple M1 video encoders/decoders on the Pro/Mac SOCs?

I am finding mixed messages online, and BlackMagic's own official PDF of comparisons between the free and paid-for Studio doesn't list this information.
