Does the iMac one year warrenty allow exchange?

I am wondering if my one year warranty on my iMac allow me to exchange it for one of the upgrades? Anyone know if there is merit to this?
 
not unless you bought a model and within 14 days the upgraded systems were released, sorry

That's correct. Unless your old Mac was bought within 14 days of a newly released model, you cannot transfer your AppleCare to a new Mac.
