Does the image on the new boxing look weird to you?

Great to see that some people have been receiving their iPhone 4s a couple of days early - very jealous!

Since some shots have shown up, I've been thinking that the lines on the front image of the new packaging look really weird. Admittedly, the attached image is very *very* crudely done, but I hope it gets the point across - when not looked at straight on, all the lines appear to be at different angles.

Any thoughts on this? If anyone has one, does it look this strange in person as well? Just seems like a strange thing for Apple to do (and personally, I preferred the front image of the previous models, which gave you a life-size front-facing version).

Marketing technique used to highlight the new squared off edges. Showing the iPhone 4 straight on would not demonstrate much difference to the untrained eye.

Yeah the box design sucks compared to the 3GS box design.

I loved how the 3GS box had an imprint of the phone that you could feel under your fingers.

But honestly who cares, it's just a box. :p

The .50 cents or so that apple saved on not having grooves on the box, they probably used to to add the extra 256mbs of ram. ;)

I agree. Would've been nice if Apple thought 'out of the box' with this one...

something like the iPod Touch's box would've been cool...

The really odd part is that you don't have anything better to do with your time than stuff like this. Is his REALLY what you spend your time on? Or could you not stand watching others put up useless thread after useless thread without your joining in..... FFS get a girlfriend.

At least it wasn't another "pre-order on 15th still no shipping..." thread!

I don't like the whole box, period. The iPhone image on a solid black background, all around a box that is all white just looks strange to me. I'm curious to see the box for the white iPhone.
