To have an fm receiver you would need at least a quarter whip antenna...that would definitely make this antenna a bit bigger! :) so def no fm receiver

Lots of phones in Europe and Asia have an FM radio and they use the headset as the antenna. The radio does not work unless the headset is plugged in.
 
I honestly don't think Apple will integrate AM/FM into their iPhone because it would further discourage people from downloading music from iTunes. Same reason they probably will never integrate digital TV into the iPhone...why give it to them for free when you can charge them 99 cents per episode?

I can see people defend Apple and say that it kills the battery life on their iPhone 4. But with Internet radio I don't think there is a need. You can look at the Shuffle and it was capable of doing more but the chip was crippled so to speak. Not to mention there would be additional cost even if it is minimal.
 
I wish someone or Apple will port the Nano radio app to the iPhone. I really like the UI design.
