VP9 hardware decoding would be the question I believe. Could we watch 4K YouTube with hardware decoding on AS Mac.

Will it encode / decode both 10-bit H.264 & H.265 with 4:2:2 chroma sub-sampling?

I think the limitation for Nvidia was that they could only handle 4:2:0 chroma. There are lots of cameras with 10-bit 4:2:2 now, and this would be a big plus.

Thanks. I'll need to run some tests when I get the new machine. If there are large advantages to render times or timeline performance then I might have to consider shooting in 10-bit 4:2:0 and see if I can tell the difference with 4:2:2
