Does the M1 mac mini allow adding the second internal SSD?

Thinking of repurposing my 2014 Mac Mini for a M1 or next gen but dont want to lose the slot for the extra internal drive. Anyone know if you can still add that second drive internally?

You cannot. The M1 Macs can’t be upgraded after purchase.

Thanks though. It’s bogging down a bit but it’s got 16GB of RAM. Try to run Turbo Tax and it gags.
