Does the MBP uses Seagate's or Hitachi's 200 GB 7200 rpm HD

You can find the Hitachi 7K200 200GB 7,200 RPM drive for about 200 bucks, same as Apple charges for the upgrade. The difference is that you still have the 160GB drive which you can put on Craigslist or put in an enclosure. You'll know you get the Hitachi instead of the Seagate, and there will be no three week wait.

The drive is a Hitachi, and the 2-3 week wait is highly unlikely. Apple always exaggerates their ship dates.

On my MBP SR 15" I have a FUJITSU MHW2160BHPL, 160 gig.
