Hi all, due to the whole coronavirus, I cant make my way to a store to try it myself.

My trusty old Wireless keyboard (A1314) died on me so I bought a new magic keyboard (A1644), but after a week of using it I still hate it. I think its mainly because it has no key travel at all, I find it takes more effort to use it and not make mistakes.

I read a brief article saying the longer one with the numeric keypad was 'improved'. Not sure what the reference keyboard for their comparison was, so its not clear if it actually is improved.

Does anyone have that keyboard and has had the others comment if its actually better then the A1644 in terms of key travel or is the same thing just longer?

Is there any keyboard from apple that has better key travel then the 1644?

Thank you guys so much! I want to throw this through the window!! :)

I have both here, with and without numeric keypad, and I can confirm that they are in fact identical in regards to key travel. The only two differences are the keypad and the upside-down T-shaped arrow keys. Other than that they are identical as far as I can tell.
