no it will be offered to people who purchase notebooks after jun 8th for free , and to those who have leopard will be offered it for 29$

This is not correct. This is straight from the Snow Leopard Tech Specs:

Snow Leopard Up-to-Date Program.
If you purchased a qualifying Mac on or after June 8, 2009, that does not include Mac OS X Snow Leopard, you can upgrade for $9.95.

Well then I'll return my MBP to the Apple Store, exchange it for a new one, and get it for free?

No way they won't do it. Mine shipped today, so I'm sure that counts as 'after June 8'

No, it IS correct, bud. Here's direct from your link, with a highlight so you catch it this time:

your missing the point. you can buy it for 9.95 WHEN IT COMES OUT!! which is not until september

Maybe you didn't understand my post. I was replying to MacModMachine where he said this:

I am not - I asked about those who bought a MBP ON June 8th, which I did, and was told here that it is only those who bought AFTER. I get it for free when it comes out.

Nope. If you buy a qualified Mac on or after June 8, 2009, you can pay $9.95 for Snow Leopard when it comes out. It will NOT be free.

This is the same thing they did when Leopard was released.

the OP wanted to know if the new MBP's come with it if you were to buy it now. and the answer is no they dont. the only people that have build 10A380 of SL are the ones that were sitting in the keynote address. Thats it. people buying them today until september are not.

Christ people...

Buy a Mac on or after June 8, 2009, you can get Snow Leopard for $9.95. For existing Leopard users, it will be $29.95.

Snow Leopard will be available in September.

The only people who will be getting Snow Leopard for free are those who buy Macs after it begins shipping in September.

We good now?

ok...if you want to get technical...i have the literature they sent my store.

and it is FREE the 9.95 is simply for shipping....

if you do not know the definition of free i can look it up for you.

should i translate it into a few languages for you ?

It doesn't really matter what you say the $9.95 that you will be paying is for. The point is, it will cost $9.95.
