Just admit that you're wrong. Everybody will forgive you. You're still paying $9.95 whether you like it or not.

ok...let me put this in simpler terms for you

you buy something online....

its $50 and $20 to ship...

does the product cost $50 or $70....

better for you....

Maybe you can convince your bank not to charge you for the shipping, but it looks like in the end, you'll still be paying $9.95.

Come on, is it really that hard to understand?

this has gotten ridiculous. if macmod wants to pretend like he is getting it for free and paying the 9.95 for shipping fine. all moonisdown is saying is that at the end of the day your still out 9.95.

 Sooooo... if the 9.95$ is for shipping, does that mean if we go to an apple store we can get it for free? :)

i wish June 16th they will come up the plan like
1:if you download it from apple website. it's free
2:if you want the package, it's $9.95 for the shipping.

So, is it free? ;) :p

Ha.... supposedly it's free plus $9.95 for shipping, but if you pick it up in the store, it's free plus $9.95 for shipping. Wait, that can't be right. :D

lol...thats was pretty funny,

its for both

* Covers product plus shipping and handling fee. U.S. customers add appropriate sales tax.

thats exactly what it states.

for the sake of arguing with these guys :D

Seriously bro stop. It's technically free but with $9.95 in shipping. Either way you cut it you're going to pay $9.95.

No it's not technically free with $9.95 shipping. Read the fine print "* Covers product plus shipping and handling fee. U.S. customers add appropriate sales tax."

The $9.95 is not all shipping so it is not free.

BTW I am only posting this to keep the debate going.

Thanks, I was afraid it would die down. :D

In all seriousness, I realize that the $9.95 is for packaging and handling (you can add shipping if you are actually getting it shipped to you). They've done this with several past OS X releases. I was giving the guy a hard time because he was telling the OP it was free, which in reality, it's not.
