I find it very difficult to research and write at the same time with the current method of multitasking. I know that apple intended the iPad to be more for content consumption than creation, however if they want to break into the student market I feel this is a must. Any thoughts on the possibility of this happening in the near future? Just musing, I've tried to search "multiple windows" but I never seem to come up with much - I'd love to hear other thoughts and/or possible workarounds for this.

It did drive me nuts, that's why I sold my iPad 2 and bought an 11in MBA. Much better for doing actual work/research/studying that involves referencing numerous articles/websites and typing/programming simultaneously.

if you wanted a fully fledged computer, why did you buy an iPad instead of a laptop?
