Does the opaque bar at the bottom bother anyone?

I don’t own the X, but I’ve been watching videos and notice the “home” bar at the bottom appears to be opaque. It also seems like it’s always there.

Is this distracting at all? Do some feel like it should be more translucent? Or even maybe some prefer you could turn it off completely? I’d think that after you get the hang of it you wouldn’t need it anymore.

Just curious.
