Just wondering if the original Apple Smart Keyboard (not the keyboard folio) will fit the 9th gen iPad. I’m thinking so, but want to be positive before I look for a used one for my granddaughter.

Thanks. I always get thrown off by the original ASK, and the keyboard folio, and what fits what. I have a MK with my iPP, but am buying keyboards for my grandkids’ new 9th generation iPads.

fyi - you can find them a lot cheaper on ebay. of course they are used - but something to consider! Even on amazon as renewed they are $70 i believe.

I bought 4 of them - didn’t pay over $45 for any, and they look like new!
where did you end up buying them from?

by the way - i recently got an iPad 64gb too and would love to pick your brain about

  1. Do you use a screen protector - if so which one? i got a matte one for the pencil but it really distorts video or reading.
  2. do you ever use it in bed? this thing is really heavy and awkward in bed and curious how you use it, ha

So sorry - I haven’t been on the forums for quite a few days apparently!

Bought all the ASKs from eBay.

I don’t actually have the base iPad - I just bought 5 new ones for my grandkids - updated them from 6th gens. That being said, I put screen protectors on everything I own, because if I didn’t, I KNOW I’d break something. And I definitely put them on the grandkids’ pads.

I rarely use my iPad in bed because of weight, so I don’t have any great suggestions for that. I will use it laying in my lap on the couch. I just prop up on pillows, bend my knees and prop it in my lap - assuming you could do the same in bed.

That’s the screen protectors I’ve been using for the grandkids, and they work great. Can’t beat a 3-pack for $11 either.
