Does the primary account holder have to be present to buy the iphone 7 in an apple store

Hi!

I am goign to buy the iphone 7 tomorrow, but I am not the primary account holder on ATT. It's all under my parents name. Can I go in and upgrade my phone without them present?

As long as you are an authorized user on your parents account, you should be just fine.

Yep, need to be an authorized user. But adding yourself as an authorized user the same day probably won't work. It takes a few days for Apple's system to update AT&T authorized users. My GF was added to her parents account on 9/9, and when she went in to pickup the device on 9/16, Apple's system didn't see it. Apple had to call AT&T to verify that she was indeed an authorized user.
