Does the Samsung Galaxy s8 / s8+ have anything close to Apple's new portrait mode?

Title says it all. The camera is important to me, and I am looking to switch over to the s8/s8+ (haven't decided yet). I was wondering if the s8/s8+ could do the very same thing with maybe a 3rd party app or messing with the settings?

Also, the note 8 is out of the question for me... too big and I won't use the pen despite it having a dual lens set up

The s8/s8+ has a depth of field setting in the camera (selective focus). Basically, it takes 2 pics, one of the subject in focus, and the other of the background and combines them to get the portrait mode / bokeh effect. It's not quite as quick as phones with 2 sensors (7/8+, Note 8) or probably isn't as good as these phones but works pretty well, at least from the handful of times I used it.

"Selective focus: Sadly, this is not the iPhone's portrait mode, but it is the closest you'll get when the macro mode or general bokeh effect isn't showing up in your smartphone photography. Edit: more content and to say, I'm specifically speaking to depth of field (bokeh like touches), not the studio light mode of the 8+

If you are talking about the new mode that blacks out the background, then no. Personally, I don't find it appealing at all. This stuff they are doing like this are just post processing gimmicks. There are probably apps that can do it, or will be soon.
