I'm trying to upgrade to either the MB or MPB from my MBA and it seems that some people state that the MBP's screen is superior to the MB. Well i'm perfectly fine with what I got on my current MBA.

The MBP has a screen of comparable quality to the MBA. The MB has a lower quality screen comparable to the $400 PC machines you can find at Best Buy.

Compared to your current MacBook Air, the screen on the unibody MacBook will be pretty terrible. For many tasks it will be o.k. though. I always drag this up because I think it shows it best.

[1] More accurate colour reproduction
[2] Better contrast
[3] Wider viewing angles

This is assuming the Air isn't plagued with thin grey lines.

thanx guys, i honestly had no idea that the screen on the MB is worse. From Apple's $ point it makes sense i guess.

Dang it....
There goes that option...well at least that narrowed my choice down.

You must have had some idea the screen on your Air was pretty good though.

wow the UMB screen really looks bad in these photos!

atleast it still kills the whitebook 🙂

Yeah but in fairness, that pic is all about viewing angle. The screen looks fine head-on, it washes out badly as you extend the viewing angle outward. The MBP does not suffer from the same wash-out.
