Does the Universal iPhone Dock work with the iPhone 4?

As thread title really. Looking to buy the one linked below, and wondered if it will work with my upcoming iPhone 4.?

That's not the Apple universal dock. Looks like an iPhone 3G dock. The universal dock will come with different inserts for different iPhones/iPods. And yes, if you buy an actual Apple universal dock, it will work with the iPhone 4 (must buy an iPhone 4 dock insert for perfect fit).

More on this: the original iphone 3g / 3gs dock does NOT work with i4.

FYI: Found on some site (forget which), but the original iPhone dock works with iPhone 4. Not sure of the specific version, but the iPod dock works too. You get a warning that the accessory is not optimized for this iPhone, but it charges it fine.

And I just ordered 2 iPhone 4 docks. They will be going back.

Being a pack rat has its' benefits. 🙂

So would this one work? Its an ipod dock, new, with two covers, it don't have IR, but thats fine, I just need to ensure it will sync as well as charge..
