Wondering if anyone had used "The Walk" on an iPod Touch 5.

The concept of The Walk (and Zombies, Run!) is cool...kind of make a game out of a physical activity.

I don't really want to risk wrecking my iPhone while I'm out walking around, would prefer to use something cheaper in case I drop it or whatever, so wondering if the iPod touch 5 would work...

It's listed as compatible, but that doesn't really make sense to me as the game uses GPS, which the iPod lacks, sooooo....?

Maybe, if you live in an area surrounded by wifi and cell towers. The app description includes:

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. The Walk uses your phone’s accelerometer to measure your movement, and primarily uses wifi and cell towers to track location. We also use GPS sparingly when for tracking your walking routes.
