Yes. While the camera on the Xs and Xs Max are the same, they are both better than the iPhone X.

More editing features too.
 
So Apple say, but the proof is in the pudding, look through the photos taken on my X thread in here and you’ll see some truly stunning photos.
But it would be daft if it didn’t improve a little over last year, just a measure of how much that we don’t know.

On the topic of the new camera - Does anyone know if they’ve upgraded the telephoto camera vs the X? Doesn’t seem like they have, but surely it has the new sensor at least!?
 
Yes it has a new Larger camera Sensor, pixels are now 1.4µm in Xs and Xr vs 1.22µm in the iPhone x. Larger the Pixels are the more Light each pixel can let in, So the new cameras will be better for low light

Also if you’re into taking videos as well as still photos now you can record in stereo sound on all three new models.

Does Apple have the ability to enable these features on the X since it doesn't look like much changed hardware wise and these are software upgrades?
