I have a rather odd request, and I'm not even sure where to start looking since all of my searches on the web have come up empty.

Some Background (skip down further if you just want to see the question):
I am a musician and I compose/arrange/orchestrate using Finale software on my Mac. Currently, as part of the proofreading process, I print my scores to .pdf format and open them in preview or acrobat reader in full screen mode and use the space bar on my keyboard to advance to the next pages. With my current setup, it's annoying to have to press the space bar to "turn the page" or worse, press shift-space to go back a page.

THE QUESTION:
Is there a USB footswitch (like used for keyboards) that you can assign a keymapping to? Does this exist? Is it possible to build something like this?

I realize this may be a shot in the dark, and crazy, but thanks for any help/ideas. The optimal solution would be a 2 button footswitch, page forward and page backward, but even just a page forward button would be a step in the right direction!

Please help! THANKS!
