Here’s the deal. Legally, if you can prove you were sold something used under the guise of new, yes you are entitled for compensation. At least in the US. It doesn’t matter if you decided it was a problem three years down the road. Or really what your motivation to “all of the sudden” seek compensation. That’s just not the way the system is designed to work.

Do I think you’re likely to achieve much? No. Do i believe your motivation is perhaps misaligned? Yeah. I’d say probably, but again, legally, I’m almost certain that’s not relevant.

lol. Your right, I am so worthless that I am going to sue apple to become famous and people will love me

Thanks - helpful feedback I was looking for.

To clarify - I bought the phone new in November 2014 about a month after the 6 was released
A month after it was released? Doubtful it would have been a refurbished at that point. Did it come in a proper box etc and was it sealed?

I am so disappointed to see so many people being rude and sarcastic.

Op, unfortunately, you won't get far with this. Can you prove it 100 percent for sure? If so I would call and push it up to management. At best they might compensate you some or give you a nice gift. And in honesty, if they really did this you should be compensated. If this is true you have a right to be upset. You paid for a new phone. You should have received a new phone. Even if your phone worked fine for three years. This is why companies can get away with this kind of stuff. If you don't have proof without a shadow of a doubt, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. And on a side note, if you can't prove it 100 percent I would let it go.
