How could you get rid of the lockscreen? So many themeing possibilities!!

Swiping to unlock is half the fun, you know.

Please folks, try to do just a little bit of research on your own.

    Type this into Google:

    hide lockscreen clock

Look at the first hit. Then search for it in Cydia....

I would say it's acceptable, seeing as it's contained within a thread that poses an equally unnecessary question. Why are some people so against searching google? Maybe the problem is some people don't know /how/ to search intelligently.

I'm always reading about how members here should be searching Google instead of posting concerns and questions. I get that.
Honestly though, there would practically be no content on these forums if everyone did so.

Also, where would Google be if no one asked to begin with? Many times I will search Google and it lands me on a thread right on these forums.

Reading other helpful forums on various topics, this seems to be almost the only one that jumps on people the most about googling instead of starting threads.

I am not suggesting that at all. What I am suggesting is that make at least a brief attempt to find the answer to your questions before you commit them to the forum. I suspect you would have found your answer in the time it took you to post the question here. If you don't find something quickly, by all means ask here.

I would never post a question on this forum without making an attempt to find the answer here or at Google.

I found that I like my lockscreen so I end up leaving the lock screen on. The tweak works well though.

But unfortunately quite a few posters don't do this. Just today there was a post about very basic jailbreaking at 3:50. The answer was in a sticky. Well, at 4:50 today another poster posted almost the same question. The first question was answered and appeared about three posts down.

Yes, it's nice to help people, but some people make absolutely no attempt to find an answer at all. That is frustrating.

Absolutely! I am all for helping people find answers to their questions. But, there needs to be some effort on their part to help themselves.

Many times though even with a question that has been asked (and answered) previously, new information comes up from either those who hadn't read the original thread or those who have additional comments to contribute.

Consider topics you already have the answer to a springboard for added thought(s).
