Let's say I dropped my phone in water and it's not working. I checked the LCI and it wasn't red or pink. If I go to the Apple Store and I tell them I dropped my phone in water and they check and the LCI isn't lit up, can I tell them that it was defective and get a new phone? The wording of the warranty is confusing... From my understanding, if something is defective it complies with the warranty.

You dropped your phone. Your broke your phone. Own up to it.

Maybe you’ll get lucky, and they’ll extend some grace, but the thing about grace is that it’s never deserved, so don’t count on it.

    Best of luck.

I don't want a new phone. I just want to know if it does because I don't understand it.

Water damage is not covered by Apple's warranty. Any costs for repair or replacement will fall on you.
