Does trashing pics from "Files" delete from Photo?

Hi
I'm trying to cleanup my macbook. When I go under "All my files" I see a bunch of pics. Maybe ones that I had exported to the desktop at one time from photo? What happens if I Trash these? Does it affect the ones in photo? I'm just not certain that these are all exports.
