Does updating to iOS 26 force the Apple Home update ?

Hi

I use my iPad Pro as the HomeKit hub and I know that this will no longer be possible once I update the Home app.

Does updating to iOS 26 force the Apple Home update at the same time ?

I guess updating to iPad OS 26 also renders it unusable as a hub.
