Does using MBP on vertical stand eventually mess up your HDD?

As title says; will gravity eventually take its toll on the hdd?

I doubt it as Pc manufactures have been placing harddrive vertical in towers for years.

The general consensus is that HDD orientation does not make a noticeable difference on drive longevity.
