I've just learned the hard way that with the new silicon chipset none of VMware, Virtualbox or Parallels will run Intel-based OS's. Before I try again with UTM, can anyone assure me that 32 bit Win XP will definitely work with UTM on a Macbook Air M2 chip?
Many thanks

@Bigwaff, My friend who owns the Mac is not very technical and lives in another country, and I've never used a Mac. With those three factors I only want to try UTM if I am certain it works. I had a look at quite a few of the results of your google search. They all either referred to M1 chips or ran into the sands with all sorts of difficulties. I was ignorant enough to not realise the overall ARM/Intel problems the big virtualisers have and it took many hours to figure that out. For all I know I am equally ignorant of posible key differences between M1 and M2; also it is not always clear in these links if people are installing XP32 or XP64. I don't want to spend many more hours chasing all that down.

So if anyone reading this has actually successfully installed XP32 < UTM < Mac m2 chip, I'd love to hear about it!
