In this video I show a frequent problem where when I hold it in landscape view with my left hand the touch screen will stop working until I let go. I switch back and forth in the video. It's because my hand is covering a proximity sensor but should it be doing this?

My 6+ does something similar. If I lay it flat, while the screen is on, then pick it up again, 6 out of 10 times, the screen will be completely unresponsive. Any animations that are going on, are still going on, so the phone itself isn't frozen.....notifications still come in, email, texts, etc....but no response from the screen. UNTIL, I lock the screen, then unlock the phone again. Then all is well.

This is restoring from a backup. It does NOT happen on a fresh install as a new phone. I've gone back and forth twice just to double check.

So, if you haven't restored as a new phone, and can live without the backup settings, texts, etc....then give it a shot and see if you have the same issue on the new setup.

Yup happens to me. I usually press the sleep button and then turn it on again and it's gone. It's annoying sometimes.
