Does your iPhone make sounds when you click the main buttons?

I couldve sworn my first iPhone made a a click sound when I hit the main buttons such as weather, SMS, or anything else? Is it supposed to be quiet like that?

Mine never did. Just when I manually screen lock, unlock or use the keyboard do I get the clicks.
