Mine seems to stall around 96-97% regardless of what charger I use.

Could just be the phone still settling down from the restore.

Mine eventually settled down and went to 100%... seems like even with the 29W charger, all the stuff going on in the background wasn't enough to let the battery gain until the restore was completely done.

Anything after 80%-90% is trickle charging so it takes much much longer to get those last few %'s in irrespective of the power of the charger.

Considering this is the largest battery ever on an iPhone, it'll likely take some time for people to get used to it.

In order to get it to 100% you will need to spend more money on a fast charger from :apple:

Doesn't the iPhone 7 Plus have a higher-capacity battery?

Your right :D my bad.

I am curious what is happening here though. It could be dangerous if the phone thinks the battery % is that 97% and it continues with charge.

just get any charger that can deliver at least 2.1A (e.g. tablet rated chargers) and you’ll get similar performance for way less cost

Mine was stuck at 82% but I have been downloading 80GB of Apple music over several hours what was the reason why it didn’t reach more than 82%.
I shut it down and after a restart when the download/restore was finished it charged to 100%.
