Same thing happend to me. Bought a new powercord for my wife's macbook. Got it home and my 6 month old puppy chewed it.

Fortunately for me I was able to splice it back together and got some white electrical tape.... still good!

Pet stores should sell chew toys that look like expensive electronics, clothes, etc. Nah, the dogs would know that they were just toys and not the real thing. :D

Thanks! I feel better knowing someone else out there has experienced the trials and tribulations that I've endured. But I'm pretty sure white electrical tape wouldn't have helped my adapter. And if there was any hope remaining it was lost when I ******** spilled coffee all over it (and everything else in my satchel/man purse) this morning.

Trials and tribulations!? Suffering!? My god, man. Get a grip.. your dog chewed through something (it could have been ANYTHING) and you've had to replace it. What you're describing is the epitome of a first world problem. I'm sorry.. I don't mean to be rude, although I'm sure I'll be called that, but really.. this is a minor inconvenience at best.

Our Dyson decided to eat our magsafe adapter cable, I walked in to an Apple store (made appointment) one day an told them it was my fault and our vacuum ate it. I was prepared to buy a new one and expected nothing from Apple but took a chance. They replaced it for free. What can I say.:)

I bought Applecare later that day; I considered the price of the magsafe adapter as a discount.
