Was going to say she ate them, but not technically :) Purchased the airpods in December and I had taken very good care of them. Went to take a quick shower yesterday and put them both pods on the bed - not in the case. Thought the dog was downstairs (we have a gate at the bottom of the stairs). My 7 year old let the dog up. It only took the dog only a minute or two to completely chew / rip apart the right airpod. I mean it's in about 10 pieces. Called Apple last night in a panic and they are sending me a replacement. $80 including shipping. Not too happy with the price, but what else are you going to do? It's completely my fault. Luckily the dog didn't swallow it and the left airpod is unharmed, but it's a lot of money to replace one! If I would have went to the Apple store maybe it would have saved the cost of shipping? Do they have replacements ready to go? Hopefully this won't happen again!!

I don't know if Apple carries in Store replacememt Airpods. But if I had to guess, I would say no. You can call your local Apple Store and when prompted, say "Manager" and ask if they do.

And at least you have a good Attitude about your situation. I commend that.

The replacement should cost $69 as far as I remember, plus shipping of course so you can save $11.
I guess they have some replacement in store, since there is the genius bar and I doubt they can repair an AirPod like they do with iPhone. But I'm not sure wether the replacement they have is the full product (two pods and the case) or if they can give away a single airpod to replace a lost/broken one.
I'd follow relentless power suggestion and call the local AS.

What do you mean really?

Why would you leave them anywhere but the case. It's easy for them to get lost or in this case, eaten by another animal.
I think what was meant was that if they were in the case, the dog may still have chomped on them.

Dog probably thought they were bones.

No, I was just being sarcastic. Sounded like a very obvious and unnecessary comment, at least to me. OP was just telling his story and asking if they carried replacements in store, wasn't asking for ways to protect the AirPods from his dog lol

Like if I left my wallet out in public and it was taken and someone says, you should keep your wallet in your pocket. Thanks for the advice.

Colorware. Brown. Make em look like little turds.

That likely wouldn't make much of a difference one way or another to a dog.

Dogs are about 90% colorblind.

From my readings, I don't believe Apple attempts or will repair a single Airpod. I believe it's just replaced. But good point.
