Years ago, I had a dog that was too dumb to train. She learned shake and almost mastered sit, but that was about it. She was an outside dog, so the housetraining wasn't that big a deal, but she never really could learn any other commands. She was a lovely solid white German Shepard, but she wasn't the brightest dog I ever had. To be fair, though, I think she had some mental disabilities. She was the victim of inbreeding, so there is no telling what went wrong.

In regards to the toilette, why can't you just aim for the opening in the middle of the seat? Women want the seat down? Okay, fine. That just makes it a smaller area to aim...but it still works. That's what I do now. Unless some of you are referring to women wanting the lid down, not just the seat.

In regards to the dog, as others have said: dogs respond better to positive reenforcement than to negative. They should not be afraid of being punished anytime they go. Not all dogs cans\ make the connection between where they go as being the problem and not the act of going, itself. One thing to consider is that this could also be a behavioral problem with the female dog rather than a learning problem. The bitch may have issues.

What do you people think about an electrical harness so when the dog pees, it makes a circuit and she gets a mild electrical shock? Like those electric fence collars, only on the other end of the dog?

Yikes! Have you ever touched those electrical fences on farms? No thank you. I wouldn't use one.

Love 'em myself. How do you feel about them?

Bigger target when I'm not able to stand up straight without swaying. Or if the stream has a potential to be non predictable.

Okey doke but you'll have to roll back a few more than that to catch up to the toilet complainer.

Sister's toilet with heated seat, auto bidet and blow dryer. Don't know if this is the one with the motorized seat:

I would think that would teach the dog that every time he pees, he gets a shock. He would associate the shock with the action of peeing, not the location.
