I know I’ve done some searches for this issue and haven’t had much luck. I’ve got a ATV 4K and a new Samsung NeoLED TV and Sonos Arc soundbar plugged into eArc. When the ATV setting for “Change Format” is off and Dolby Atmos option is turned on I get no sound on certain videos. Video will still play but no sound. This is sporadic on apps such as Hulu, Disney+, etc. If I turn off Dolby Atmos it works fine. Any fix on this? I’m currently running tvOS16.0 (it was also an issue prior to updating). Thanks!

tvOS 16 is still in beta so there may not be a fix until after the September Apple event.
This was an issue even on tvOS 15. I updated to beta tvOS 16 a couple of days ago hoping it would have been fixed.

Does setting it to Auto (so that Audio Format reads Auto, Atmos Available) not working? I have Apple TV 4K (2nd gen) and Sonos Arc hooked up to LG OLED (Sonos to eARC) and the setup works fine for me.

I do have it set to Auto and although it works with some apps and shows, it doesn’t work with other. The only other thing I can think of is if it’s the quality of the HDMI cable? I’ve tried a couple of them with no luck. They aren’t necessarily the cream of the crop (they are from Amazon), but I’ve been told it shouldn’t matter?

You might want to try the suggestion on this Sonos forum thread. It looks like Samsung TVs have issues with eARC in general.
