Wasn’t aware until Tuesday. At least for me.
As for Fox, many of those are DTS-MA or the new DTSX. Neither of which, to my knowledge, have lossless or even compressed versions available for streaming. So even if Apple supported DTS, not sure how they’d stream.
In brief I ran through BR2049s gorgeous, transcendental like opening, the race at the start of Ready Player One, and Deadpool 2s first encounter with Cable in the jailhouse.
In DP2, the sound of inmates running along the metal greats above your head made me pause the film as I was convinced some one might hitting the side of my house out of anger from the volume. I ran the film back again and confirmed what I was hearing was indeed from the film. Silly but true moment.
Ready Player One’s car chase had me grinning ear to ear. (is that a pun?) The race is filled with wrap around sound but especially when the Trex shows up for its weekly dose of metallic fiber, you hear it looming over you as it hurls vehicles. Great stuff!
Can’t verify MoS as it has not shown up in my box of Cracker Jack’s yet.
