Chiming in here. Purchased 3g Unrestrictor a few hours ago and it did not work for me. After finding this thread, I turned on MiWi which I already had and it worked like a charm.

3GS running 4.1.2.

What exactly does MyWi tethering enable? It certainly does not work for iTunes store downloads (it still enforces the 20MB limit).

Mywi turns the iphone into a wifi hotspot. To get around the download limit you need 3G unrestrictor or My3G.

why does not apple give these features in the first place, i guess that would be too much at once.

i paid for 3g unrestricter and just googled "facetime fails with 3g unrestricter" i guess i have to learn the hard way, it certainly does not work in the EU with 3G

we put it on our iPhone as well and that was a bigger fail, facetime disappeared altogether, on the iPad 2 its not even showing up in the 3g unrestricter apps list.

what you know, maybe im doing something wrong

where abouts in EU? I'm UK and it's fine for me, been doing it a while
