What a piece of junk for $35!!!! I put it on Friday after getting my phone and 3-4 days later it's full of scratches from day to day use - what a piece of crap. Taking it off and sure sending it back to amazon.

Looks to me like the protector is doings its job of protecting.

My OA protector is spotless after a few days of day to day use. In and out of pockets, face down on a desk etc.

Maybe you should look into a case which will protect your protector a bit more

I believe there’s more to the story than what the OP is claiming.

1. I’ve read a number of reviews of this screen protector, and not one of those have mentioned Scratches within a couple of days. if this product was problematic with scratch issues, we would have learned this by now. May have gotten a bad batch perhaps

2. We don’t really know what the OP had in his pockets that caused this, or if someone else in the family may have done this. We just don’t know. all we have now is his word.

If you look at the other screen protectors and their review, you will read that each, and every one of them has customer complaints about them. Not one screen protector review site has been 1000% perfect.

That’s the thing - knowing how easily the new 17 pro can get scratched I have been ensuring to only have my phone in my pocket. I do not put the phone face down on my desk or at any time - just my OCD.

Last night I had my desk lamp on and looked at the phone - typical finger prints and smudges… but I also notice a fine lines, so I decided to use apple cloth and wiped it off. To my surprise it has multiple fine line scratches.

Went back to Amazon to check its description and it clearly states anti scratch. As much as I understand this is not 100% bullet proof - I had previously spigen, ultra glass, esr, amFilm, anker, wsken - my biggest disappointment is that I did everything to avoid this. Probably more than regular user would do.

At the price of $35 for a single screen protector with anti-scratch description, I expected much more from it than 4 days - especially babying the phone due to the reports of how prone it is to scratches.

I would blame myself if I dropped the phone with my keys in pocket, or other sharp objects, but even then, with the mentioned screens I had in the past it would take some effort to get those scratches.

And as far as cases with more lip around - I’ve been using pitaka since 14 pro. Never had this issue before.

My disappointment is related to how fast it happened and how easily with basic use.

I will be sending it back to Amazon and getting either different torras (someone suggested a different model somewhere here) or just back to spigen.

I don't have any experience with Torras. I do know that all the different brands are not created equal, there isn't a whole lot of consistency, and even from the same company not much consistency.

The MagicJohn I have on now seems to be holding up. I've had good luck with Totalee, and Spigen. They are not as scratch proof as the actual screen, so plan to replace them often if you don't like micro scratches.

Mine has been perfect. This has also been one of the best screen protectors ive ever used. No sharp edges on any side and feels seamless when swiping without a case. The bezels are perfectly aligned too.

The thread title is a little hysterical? I get the frustration as it's a high price for a single unit, but maybe you just got unlucky? It's like anything brand new, the first scuff/mark/scratch is the bitterest one to swallow, but after that, you kind of accept it.

I guess time will tell, so I'll re-comment in a week as I've just put my Origarmor screen protector on my phone. End of the day, they can get scratched; it's kind of the point of them. I'm generally careful not to put anything hard, like keys or loose change, in the same pocket as my iPhone, which, if I did, I would then fully expect some scratches.

if nothing abrasive has come into contact with the screen then how have the scratches got there? FFS.

Fluff from the inside of your pockets will not scratch it FFS.

My bet is that’s it’s been placed face down at some point and with that case having no lip, you’ve scratched the protector.

No one else has this issue with ‘every day’ use

I just put mine on loving it so far, no bubbles or dust, feels even smoother, and now more matches my TechWoven case then the big drop off to the screen before. Hope it doesn’t get too bad.

Just look at the case that he has on there. There’s no protective lip. It’s almost like the screen is touching the table if you place it that way. Get yourself a real protective case next time. These minimal cases are just waiting for an accident to happen.

Tbh I can understand being disappointed when it’s about 35 dollars for one protector while other cheaper glass is like 20 for a set of 3

But for reference the ESR Corning that I got also got some hairline scratches after a weekend of use and I used it with a peak design case the whole time

These tempered glasses are definitely more scratch prone than the actual glass Apple uses

I've been using Torras Screen Protector since the IP14, put Torras OrrigArmor on my IP17 PM since the 1st day and no scratch at all. Torras also has the lifetime warranty so you can contact them and get a replacement.
