I never use any screen protector at all. Never had any need and never had any scratches etc on any previous, or current, iPhone. I feel screen protectors are a gimmick, designed to scratch or crack with the slightest drop so that you think you saved your main screen, and quickly purchase a replacement.

Wrong on many levels……..

1…. Not designed to scratch nor crack without evidence to prove it. Do you have any?

I’ve dropped my phone numerous times without cracking or scratching since my first purchase of the iPhone 5 many years ago. You have no evidence to prove this, so please post your evidence.

If you re-read my post I was expressing my own opinion.
I didn't realize every opinion needs to be backed up with evidence.
Nevertheless, if I have failed to do so, please do go ahead and post your evidence to the contrary.

I did read your post and nowhere have you said that you used a screen protector so what experience do you have with one.?

The whole point of the protector is to give your actual screen protection from scratches and to help mitigate possible worse damage in a fall. It is doing its job. I think your focus and complaint about the protector is off the mark.
I can understand his point. After all, he spent $35 and chose this product over a bunch of other brands, so it’s natural that he had high expectations. Unfortunately, the performance turned out to be really disappointing.

That’s the whole point of having a screen protector — to protect. But he invested extra money and time hoping it would offer better or longer-lasting protection, and it clearly didn’t live up to that.

Still, I think this might just be a one-off issue. He should reach out to the official support team and let them know what happened. They usually offer replacements or warranty service. If it still ends up being the same after that, then maybe consider asking for a refund or filing a complaint.
