Don't Buy X, wait for 'Galaxy S9'

Here's why:

If true that Samsung can shrink those Bezels even more look how outdated the iPhone X will be already and the S9 (or maybe Samsung decides to name it S10) might be out already in February.

I already am planning to get rid of my s8 Plus to get the iPhone X. You really can't compare the 2 unless you don't care about software. iOS for me personally is significantly more polished and useful than android, I miss the quality of apps that I was used to on iOS.

The s8 Plus hardware is really nice, but I am starting to realize I care about software more than hardware.

I hope Samsung can do it..bring the FP scanner under glass!

Turn up the heat on Apple.

But the S8 is too tall for me. :(

Wishing the S9 will be shorter.

I highly doubt the S9 will have a notch. But I'm excited about the possibility of a modular back, which will I will use for a modular battery.

Why are you even in the 'alternative' section of these boards when all I have seen from you is posts like this trying to assert your opinion like it is fact and making out like we're all stupid for liking something that you don't?

Posters like you haven't reared your head all year in these boards yet as soon as people talk about switching from Apple you're out in full force as if to defend the Apple kingdom.

It's pretty laughable the threat that Apple fans feel when someone expresses the interest to move to Android. Embarrassing at times, actually. :oops:

Haha, it's under the iPhone section on a Appe website. And I am in the alternative section? Talk about laughable. Anyway, I have no issue with Android based hardware as it is pretty impressive, but I just don't see anyone that prefers iOS/interested in the X would make the switch to the S9 when all it is is a knockoff X running an OS that users that want the X don't prefer. Lastly, I don't assert my opinion as fact, it is simply my opinion.

From my experience apps are really not much different
 
Me gusta. That's a gorgeous looking concept. I much prefer Samsung's method of removing bezels by letting the screen flow off the sides of the device, compared to Apple's small-but-consistent bezel around the entire device. I think the iPhone X is beautiful in it's own right, but Samsung's designs really do give off that impression of, "Wow. This phone is literally ALL screen."

It interests me how many folks you see around here saying, "But it runs Android," as if that's the ultimate mic-drop. On the front page articles, you see comments like those getting 2nd or 3rd highest voted. Android is freakin' terrific. I actually wish that I could get an iPhone X running Android. I implore those of you that have ill-feelings towards Android to give Android a solid shot -- buy a Google Pixel, keep it for a couple of months, enable all the great features like Google Now, and then see how your opinion's changed. That argument worked years ago -- it doesn't work anymore.

Regardless of whether this has been moved, it's everywhere on here at the moment.
I've never seen so many posts in this section about iPhone users wanting to switch to Android. You only have to back out to see them all.
And in every one, there's people putting these other people down with snide comments like 'yeah but it runs Android'.

It's playground stuff. People are allowed to make their own minds up without that kind of thing happening.
I shouldn't have even got involved, but it gets ma back up.
Apologies for any offence etc, be nice if people could switch between platforms without some need to make one seem worse than the other. It's all preference.

In the OP, the guy in the video calls it the iPhone "Ex."

NOOO :D Reminds me of a friend I have that still insists that it is Mac OS "Ex."

It's a concept design. Until concrete leaks emerge, who knows what the front will look like. As for the aspect ratio, the iPhone X has a weird aspect ratio as well...19.5:9
