I will definitely be getting one but looking at the complexity of the back, I am betting that repairs of the I5 will be very expensive.

Is there a phone you recommend dropping? The only dropping I do is calls.

How about don't drop any phone.. I'm tired of 80% of the iPhones on eBay are freakin broken screens, cracked glass, etc.

Accidents happen...I baby they hell out of my electronics and I managed to drop my 4S once and it cracked a little off the screen. You can't just say don't drop your phone...most of the time people don't plan on dropping their phones.

I haven't ever dropped any of my phones significantly enough to break them, however I have had some close calls. Definitely hitting up the Verizon store to get a temporary case or something when I take delivery of my 5 next week.

If we consider an iPhone 5 a dun duh duh, and we are told: "Don't drop that dun duh duh", then by the transitive property, giving advice to not drop the iPhone 5 is accurate and informative.

Already cracked my 4S, definitely not trying to crack another phone. Apple wants to charge me $200 for a refurbished replacement, either that or I have to pay a $120 insurance fee with Verizon. Maybe I'm in luck now though that the 4S is seeing a price drop.

Perhaps to stop the flaming the OP could have chosen a better thread title, but their question is valid.

Swapping out a 4s back plate is easy but is this the same with the 5 !

On a serious note, I didn't see any mention of Gorilla Glass 2 - does anyone know if the iPhone 5 has it?

Use a case? I didn't plan on dropping my phone. My otterbox case makes sure my phone looks like new when I drop it.
