On a serious note, I didn't see any mention of Gorilla Glass 2 - does anyone know if the iPhone 5 has it?

Good question.

I'll be in the Zagg store the same day I get my iPhone 5 personally.

Taking no chances.

tape it to your hand or better yet! buy a case!

i let a family member use my iphone 4 the 1st day i had it and they dropped it and scuffed the corner all up.. i was gutted... NO ONE is using my iPhone 5 EVER

Actually, I'm wondering if the iPhone 5 would be easier to fix. Not necessarily cheap, but the 4/4s were built from the front screen to the back glass. So you had to gut it to get the front glass off. With an aluminum unibody it would be built from the back to the front. So the front glass and digitizer or whatever is all in one now would be the first thing to come off when you take it apart. Like I said, probably not cheap, but it seems it might be much easier to fix.

I haven't looked closely at the parts leaks so I could be wrong...

I hope someone does a drop test.

I am thinking the 5 might actually do better than 4/4S, mainly because of the lighter weight. The 4S feels ultra dense.

Plus now you will only have one glass panel to shatter! :D

I will definitely be getting one but looking at the complexity of the back, I am betting that repairs of the I5 will be very expensive.

Quick, hurry to the other forums and post some "don't drop your iPad" or "dont drop your macbook" topics. I am sure it will save many people lots of money.
