Don't forget about drop boxes when returning your iPhone in the upgrade program!

Usually when I return my iPhone in the Apple iPhone Upgrade Program I take it to my nearest Fedex retail store. During COVID-19 I'm doing everything I can to limit my exposure around strangers. I actually had completely forgotten about Fedex drop boxes. I found an outdoor box that was actually much closer to me and I've already used the tracking number to verify they picked it up. I'm going to do this next year for certain.

Glad I could help! Another tip is that you can check the website for the last pickup time. Mine was 6pm so I knew that if I got it in the drop box before then it wouldn't be sitting in it overnight.

I just got confirmation from Apple today that my old phone was received by them.

Not seeing much on this topic. Who, on the IUP, has gotten their empty box after ordering (and receiving) their Max and Mini phones? We have received both of our Max phones and neither of us have gotten the return boxes yet. I believe the loans are only on hold for 2 weeks, which puts us at 1 week starting tomorrow. I can see the boxes tracking through FedEx, but they just say "Pending" and it's been that way since last Friday (11/13). Thanks.
