Therefore I won't have a 'good' credit rating..

Will I be able to pass the credit check?

You won't be able to buy the iphone, period. No cash for iphones.. apple policy.

Find someone with a credit card and borrow theirs.

Not sure whether debit cards will work (depends on the shop.. the stories I've seen explicitly say credit card).

It depends on your credit rating, basically. If you haven't had any court judgements and have a reasonably steady income you'll probably be OK.

To give everyone a chance, there'll be a limit of two iPhones per customer in-store and online. Oh, and we're afraid we can't accept cash.

Doesnt say no debit cards. Just the credit check, but I guess if I've never had any CCJs, even though I don't have a credit card I might be alright.

I would expect that you can use a debit or credit card. It would be stupid to limit it to people who had credit cards. I only have debit cards so that should be ok. Can anyone confirm though that you can use both Credit and Debit Cards?

Just found this on the O2 site

There'll be a limit of two iPhones per customer and only credit or debit cards are accepted- no cash.

So there we go you can use Credit or debit cards😀

My fiance has an O2 contract at £35 a month and passed the credit check fine for that, and she doesn't have a credit card. I can't imagine it will be any more stringent for iPhone.

My bank account has never been below Zero and more than 300quid goes in each month.
