Fess up. Who didn't know the answer either? I knew it, but I wonder if it's only because my family is from that region. The kid actually spelled it correctly though, which I thought was cool. At least our kids are smart, even though our celebs aren't.

Maybe it's just me, but dumb girls... not as hot to me anymore as they were when I was younger.

I would hope that most people knew the answer. And I would hope that about 99.99% of Americans knew that Europe is not a country....

No, I'm sure that's not the reason. This is something that people who aren't from the southern part of the U.S. generally know. Even if they don't know the answer, or temporarily forgot it, they should at least know that Europe is not a country, and France is a country.
 

Yeah, it's not her retardation that bothers me the most; it's the fact that we ascribe intelligence to absurdly useless knowledge.

Sorry, if you think knowing whether Budapest is the capital of Hungary is a good determinant of intelligence, you belong in the same category as Miss South Carolina.

Either way, Europe is technically one country! At least that's what the European Union would love for us to believe.
